Terms & Conditions

These terms set out how Synapse Lab and our learners work together. We've written them plainly so you know what to expect from us and what we ask in return.

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to all courses and services offered by Synapse Lab, operating from 29 Soi Ruam Rudi, Lumphini, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. By enrolling in any course or contacting us through our website, you agree to these terms. If any part is unclear, please reach us at [email protected] before proceeding.

2. Our Courses

Synapse Lab currently offers three online courses:

  • Node 01 – Connect the Basics (฿3,600): A beginner course covering core programming ideas through connected lessons, a guided starter project, and mentor feedback.
  • Node 02 – Linking Data & Learning (฿7,300): A practical course on data handling and introductory machine learning, including code reviews and a portfolio project.
  • Node 03 – Full Network Programme (฿12,000): A complete path from foundations to a capstone project, with live mentor sessions, a peer community, a course completion record, and a portfolio review.

Course content, pricing, and availability may change over time. We will communicate any significant changes to enrolled learners with reasonable notice.

3. Enrolment

To enrol in a course, you must be at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. By completing enrolment, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an enrolment where we have reasonable concern about the accuracy of the information provided.

4. Payments

Course fees are displayed in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is required in full before course access is provided unless a written alternative arrangement has been agreed with Synapse Lab. We use secure third-party payment processors; we do not store card details on our systems.

If a payment fails or is disputed, access to course materials may be paused until the matter is resolved. Please contact us promptly if you encounter any payment difficulty.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

We want every learner to feel comfortable with their decision to study with us. Our approach to refunds:

  • Requests made within 7 days of purchase and before accessing more than 20% of the course materials will be considered for a full refund.
  • Requests made after this period will be reviewed individually. We will look at how far through the course you are and what circumstances have arisen.
  • Refunds, where agreed, are processed within 14 working days to the original payment method.

6. Access and Course Materials

Upon successful payment, you receive personal access to your enrolled course. This access is for your individual use only and may not be shared, transferred, or resold. Course materials are provided for your learning and personal reference; they may not be reproduced, distributed, or published without written permission from Synapse Lab.

We aim to keep course materials accessible throughout the period stated at enrolment. In the unlikely event that access needs to be ended early, we will notify you with as much notice as possible and consider appropriate recompense on a case-by-case basis.

7. Learner Conduct

We ask all learners to engage with the Synapse Lab community respectfully. This means:

  • Treating fellow learners, mentors, and staff with courtesy.
  • Not sharing access credentials or course materials with others.
  • Submitting your own work for projects and reviews — we encourage collaboration for learning purposes, but project submissions should reflect your own effort.
  • Not using the platform to distribute unsolicited messages or disruptive content.

Synapse Lab reserves the right to suspend or remove access for conduct that disrupts the learning environment or violates these terms, without refund where the conduct is serious.

8. Mentor Feedback and Sessions

Mentor feedback and live sessions are available as described in each course. Mentors will make reasonable efforts to respond within the timeframes indicated, but their feedback is provided as educational guidance, not professional advice. Session times are agreed by mutual availability; please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule.

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials, including videos, documents, code examples, and exercises, remain the intellectual property of Synapse Lab or the respective rights holders. Learners retain ownership of original work they create during the courses. By submitting project work for feedback, you grant Synapse Lab a limited right to review and annotate your work for educational purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

Synapse Lab provides courses in good faith to support your learning journey. We do not make representations about particular career outcomes, employment, or income that may or may not follow from studying with us. Our liability for any claim arising from your use of our courses is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant course.

We are not liable for disruptions caused by factors outside our control, including internet outages, third-party platform issues, or force majeure events.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By enrolling or using our website, you agree to the collection and use of your data as described there.

12. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to function correctly and to understand how visitors use it. See our Cookie Policy for full details and how to manage your preferences.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For enrolled learners, we will communicate material changes by email. Continuing to use our courses after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes will first be addressed through direct communication with Synapse Lab. We genuinely want to resolve any concern fairly and directly before any further steps are considered.
